Hi!

I'm really interested in webdesign and website in general and I'm really curious to know what are your favorite bands or artists website and why. It can be because of the design (To-Mera website was soooo beautiful) or the content (Marillion.com is great, so many stuffs!!) or something else...

What are your favourite ones? Top 5 or Top 10...

I admit it's quite difficult, apart from Marillion's website, I don't have many ideas, what about you? Wink

I spend the bulk of my time between here, Marillion, Neal Morse, Pendragon. Marillion probably has the best.

Journey's website forum has this neat feature called a Shout Box where it's just basically a window off to the right where people are instant messaging each other ( http://www.journeymusic.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=cfrm - http://www.journeymusic.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=cfrm )

Ouch I'm really not a fan of this flash websites, I can't stay there more than 10 seconds, it's a pity :(

I liked Neal Morse website but there's no studio report anymore, it was really interesting!

It would be great to discover new really good websites!! Maybe the next Pain Of Salvation official website? (still under construction actually)

One that really really impressed me (as someone who has designed both amateur and professional websites) is The Deer Hunters MySpace page... Anyone who has a MySpace page will know that modifying the vanilla page to make it "interesting" takes a fair bit of CSS knowledge and is far from easy. The proprietary MySpace editors are okay, but are a little primitive by comparison to what's been achieved here:

http://www.myspace.com/thedearhunter - http://www.myspace.com/thedearhunter

(if you've the DevToolBar loaded, try looking at it with CSS disabled)

Ooooo, I can only chose one that sticks out for me: The Mars Volta's website is excellent, really dark and gloomy, but classy as well, easily navigable.

http://www.cmx.fi/ - www.cmx.fi . Simple, functional and fast. No flash animations, no fancy buttons, no useless images. The band members' replies to questions from the fans are often hilarious. The English version has much less content than the Finnish one though.

Annie Haslam's site interested me.  I don't claim that it is aesthetic, just that visiting it was interesting enough for me to bookmark it.
