Inventive and witty things to put on your gravestone. First one that comes to mind is Spike Milligan's quote on his gravestone:

"I told you I was ill"

Classic.

Anyone else got any more? They crack me up and bring a bit of light-heartedness to a pretty grim subject, which is a good thing

Johnny Yeast
Pardon me
For not rising
In Ruidoso, New Mexico

Gone away Owin' more
Than he could pay
Owen Moore in Battersea, London, England

Here lies an Atheist
All dressed up And no place to go.
In a Thurmont, Maryland, cemetery

He's like the Highlander;  but unfortunately for him, "there can be only one".

Making it to 2112 is a pretty good run however.  That would mean that he made it pretty far in the immortals' brackets.

No need to. The years may have been derived from different calendars. I once saw a gravestone in Alanya, Turkey from someone who was born in 1277 and died in 1960. Of course the year of birth came from the Islamic calendar and the year of death from the Gregorian. Nevertheless this person was not that far younger than Santa, having died at the age of 98 (approx.).

Probably a song name/lyrics for mine...

Maybe
"Were clutching at straws, I'm still drowning..."

OR

"MADE AGAIN"

Or something along those lines...
