The Stranger 30th Anniversary box set is out and features a bonus concert from '77 and a live DVD of the Old Grey Whistle test show from '78. Great stuff and nice booklet for sure. It was worth it to me just to watch a video of Joel at his peak.

But a more important question. How does the remastering of the new 30th anniversary edition compare to the Japanese mini-LP sleeve edition?

I'd love to hear from anyone who has heard both versions. My opinion is the Japanese version has better clarity while the new version is louder.
