Just watching Fish's Return to Childhood DVD. I was playing along on my acoustic, and as I was figuring out the chording to Lavender, I noticed that it's the same chord sequence as Zep's Thank You. D, C, C/B. Doesn't sound anything like it, but I was able to do Page's solo note for note over it right tight fit.
Strange how similarly structured melodies sound so different, eh.

You know when you listen to some prog though you'll here stuff that sound exactly as later songs, like i found the bass intro of red hot chilli peppers that was exactly the same as the bands gong song. And led zepplin stole a lot of there stuff from other artists.

My wife just walked from seeing Wall-E with my daughter & a friend. She came into the living room asking what I was watching. This was during Waterhole Bongo. She thought it was Phil Collins and/or GenesisTongue
But isn't Fish a Garbiel ape(r) ? LOL
Anyway, I can see now the comparison of TOTT era Genesis with the resulting Neo Proggers.
