Subject: The Errors & Omissions Team's Announcements

This will now be the place to report errors and omissions in Band Bios and any other Prog Archives editorial information.

If possible always try and provide the corrected information and links to were the incorrect info is situated.Remember to always double-check with another outside source just to make sure if it is band-related info you want correcting.

We have 4 Collaborators: Rivertree, Fassbinder, Tuzvihar and T.Rox who will deal with notifications. Please give them ample time to respond.

Once the error or omission has been corrected by our team, they will post that it has been processed and an Admin will close the thread within a couple of days of this.

Collaborators: when you are dealing with reports can you post to say that you are dealing with the error/omission and when you have completed the amendment can you post "done" or something similar.....

When reporting an error in an album entry, please, do us a favour and give a link to the album in question. It would spare us time spent trying to locate the album. To find the album in the database we need to know it's id number.

Cheers!

In David Bowie´s Scary Monster there seems to be lacking the actual line up of the album. Only the guest musicians are shown in the page. Not even Bowie is there!

I just did the Cinematograaf (Tomas Bodin) review and I noticed an error in the line-up. Like almost all the reviews (and the booklet of the album) are already stating: the line-up is just Tomas himself. So all the other names of musicians can be deleted.
Thanks.

You may want to check before making changes, but it seems the line-up for NO NAME’s latest album "20 Candles" is incorrect:

http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=24577 -

I own the CD and the line-up on the booklet reads as follows:

Patrick Kiefer / Vocals

Alex Rukavina / Keyboards, programming

Yves Di Prospero / Guitars

Marc Muller / Bass

Christian Sonntag / Drums

Guest musicians

Fred Hormain / Saxophone on “Broken Heart”

Jonathan Tilly / Bagpipe on “Battlefield”

Thanks to anyone for checking/entering the corrections Smile

The new Pain Of Salvation EP lists an older lineup

http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=25554 - http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=25554

Simon Andersson and Johan Langell no longer play for the band. Léo Margarit has been the drummer for some time now, and I believe Daniel Gildenlow did all the bass parts himself on this album

Corrected the line up as follows:
- Daniel Gildenlöw / vocals, guitar, bass (?) - Johan Hallgren / guitars, backing vocals - Fredrik Hermansson / keyboards, backing vocals - Léo Margarit / drums, backing vocals

Please report here when it will be clear who played bass.

Another one I just came across

http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=5445 - http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=5445

The lineup is a bit messed up. (especially since I'm pretty sure a female wouldn't like to be called "Leon" as far as I know)

According to wikipedia:

Vincent Cavanagh – Vocals, guitar
Daniel Cavanagh – Guitar, keyboards, background vocals
Les Smith – Keyboards, programming
Dave Pybus – Bass guitar
John Douglas – Drums
Lee Douglas – Additional vocals

My apologies band, maybe I won't be as want, because I seriously underestimated university studies. We have few topics, literature, poems, Russian language and, guess what, linguistic. Last one is tough, very tough and is causing me a lot of troubles.

Simply, I'm trying to learn to exams, pass them, write essays (I never heard about book "The Red Badge of Courage", but Americans seems quite familiar with it).

I'll try to contribute further as much as possible.

Anathema checked, evaluated and fixed. But you should use proper thread instead.

Hi there!

Sorry for my English.

At http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=5008 - this page posted info about my albums. It's not exactly correct.

All albums are internet releases and free for download. Also I had two more things — reissue of the "Easterica" album ("Easterica: Revision" '2009) with new track list (newly remixed) and additional self-titled track as well as EP "Ultimate Senseless" (2010).

To download (absolutely free) all of this albums you can go to my http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.ListAll - blog on MySpace page. In the same place you can find all info and covers of albums.

Band info: Misanthrofeel is non-professional composer from Russia (so-called 'one man band'). He works in various metal and rock styles, included experimental/progressive metal/rock, ambient, doom metal, atmospheric metal, oriental metal etc. All music (at this moment) is made on PC, no real instruments used.

Thanx for advance! Smile Cheers!

^ Hey guys, ALL the bands in the PA database are progressive rock (with the exception of those in the Prog-Related and Proto-Prog categories). Therefore your band is progressive rock according to us, too.

The streaming audio link is missing for the Fenomen's self titled album..

http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=5972" rel="nofollow - http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=5972

The album can legally be listened from the link below:

http://www.ttnetmuzik.com.tr/#album-Fenomen-22825" rel="nofollow - http://www.ttnetmuzik.com.tr/#album-Fenomen-22825

I will greatly appreciate if you could update the bands page.

Thank you!

I can update the album page (not the band's page) and give the link, but:

1. It's not obvious that files are streamed legally.
2. It's not clear how to listen to them without registration.

I just learned that due to international copyright issues, international access to this portal is restricted to 30 seconds preview of the songs. Therefor, the link I provided is useless for international users. Sorry for the inconvenience..
(The TTNet Music portal is located in Turkey)

Alternatively the album can be listened on

One day these samples on amazon will disappear.

We already have the link to Fenomen's MySpace page ( http://www.myspace.com/fenomenband" rel="nofollow - http://www.myspace.com/fenomenband ) containing samples for streaming. Those who interested can easily find them.

Hello
Can I request that the Blurb on my Artists Page be updated as it is now well out of date and cites musicians who are not involved any more

My website has a current and up to date BIOG if you want to use the content there (www.guymanning.com)

Thanks

Hope this is the right place for this mistake.

I added this album (http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=35330) here for artist Peach Pit (http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=3996)

I forgot what letters can be seen on the site so the name of the 2011 album should be renamed from

"DOVIđENJA U CALGARYJU" to "DOVIDJENJA U CALGARYJU"

And under track listing I forgot to erase these examples:
1. Track title (3:04)
2. Track title (9:07)

Total Time 78:12

Thanks!

I understand that poster's confusion, but as someone more skilled in English than I am, let me ask a question - Is it possible to mistake

announcements - as from team to everyone else
and
announcements - as from everyone else to the team

Does it work both ways, or is meaning of this thread only first choice ?

The first choice as it is the possessive case. i.e. The Team's announcements...belonmging to the team.

Personally I don't like the rule "make your own thread for each error". It makes lots of short-living threads. After fixing errors they only fill the forum with garbage.

I'd prefer a single thread for errors, like "Album Covers and Artists' Pictures", "Video reporting thread" etc.

Sounds good to me. The problem is that with thousands of lines of rules here on PA that new users have to read, adding this won't have much success. If we will be about to add it somewhere. Otherwise, how we are going to "force" these users to use only one thread ?

The good thing is that we have only few people reporting images on regular basis. They will understand.
