It was a fantastic performance by this swedish band according to my taste. What a pitty - this evening saw only nearly 50 people coming to the pROCKclub in Bielefeld to enjoy the band!

Andre Bläute aka Coon B, singer and guitarist of the german band ../artist.asp?id=1630 - ABARAX , opened the show playing some songs of the band as an acoustic set. His voice is really impressing and it was a good start for the evening so far.

Clap

Clap

ANEKDOTEN later entered the stage, reserved, not saying much, fully concentrated on performing their complex songs whereas afterwards they came to the merchandise corner and talked a lot to the spectators.

They played their wellknown blend of heavy powerful parts and Anna Sofi's Mellotron contributions with the special melancholic touch. Dynamic pure - the songs were suspense-packed and I've never heard them more psychedelic - mainly caused by some extended songs with jam character.

The sound quality was excellent too and therefore I can state this was a perfect event on the whole ...

setlist:
1 Monolith
2 From Within
3 Ricochet
4 Harvest
5 In For A Ride
6 Book Of Hours
7 The Great Unknown
8 SW4
9 Improvisation
10 30 Pieces
11 Karelia
12 Gravity

13 Nucleus
14 Sad Rain

Thanks so much for the pictures, and the description of the concert Rivertree. I do feel a little disallusioned that only 50 people were there, but then i think it might not be any different if they came to Toronto like i wish so much. Awesome band that just isn't that popular unfortunately.

I could write an essay about why 50 people showed up, but popularity had nothing to do with it. LOL

Let's just say that I'm very glad the people who were there found out about the show. Lovely snapshots!  Saw more on the website!  But howcome the opening artist had a different name than the one you mentioned?  I'm all confused!

I guess you mean Andre Bläute aka Coon B which is his alias?

Aaah.  Coon B, yes, that's what I hurriedly wrote on a couple of posters, and what's on Anekdoten's website as support act.  For a second there I thought I totally messed up on who's who in the zoo!
