Though seriously, that last entry is the one that irks me the most. I hate disrespecting another person's art, unless I think that might only be in it for the money and not really to express themselves.

Would I be scraping the bounds of decency, and risking eternal damnation if I said my least favourite poll,
is The Pope ?
Runs for cover as everyone tut-tuts,The Hippie and The Plod start talking about sandboxes and the sound of scraping barrels echoes around the forum!
However,we might just be able to start stopping the spread of AIDS in Africa when he is gone!

It's not a matter of whether or not his death will save millions, it's a matter of whether or not it's appropriate to insult someone on their deathbed.

Loosen up, hey my garduating year of highschool I did a presentation on the pope denouncing him. For my very catholic and very newfoundlander teacher. I know some interesting pope facts now. Did you know that in the course of his life he was hit by two moving vehicles?

Ooh, I got an interesting fact. Remember the John Hinckley Jr. incident when Reagan was almost assassinated? Some people believe the CIA trained and brainwashed him to do it because Reagan was associating with the Pope, and the Pope supposedly had ties with the communist bloc. Top that!

Depends on who that someone is,and whether their passing will bring about change for the good. He is a mass-murderer. FACT>
|
Under what preconceptions do you think the next pope will be any better? If he dies, he dies. But I doubt anything will change.

Because the Vatican "intelligentia" are well aware that modernisation and progressive thinking are the way forward if they are to survive this millenium.Whilst the pretence is that God chooses the Pope through the Sacred College Of Cardinals, basically the process is no different than any other political election-he who greases the most palms will win.
|
I have a bet with someone at work about which day the pope dies. I have until 11:59 tonight for the old geezer to croak..wish me luck...there's a dollar banking on it.

And no, I'm not Catholic, I have always disagreed with him on many things and I don't care that he's Polish.

I feel proud I could achieve in one move what it would take any other poll dozens of repetitions to achieve.

Hehe, don't worry I wasn't being serious. I don't care about this poll or that poll or any poll. BUT the 'Is this band prog?' polls do get on my nerves here and there.

I was under the impression that this was a site dedicated to discussing progressive music. However, it's disgusting to see persons making fun of something as serious as the passing away of any human being.
How dare you have the audicity to assume you know better, can your paltry years on this earth compare to 2,000 years of civilization.
