Ok, this is like this,
create an album in the 70's album style, including the songs you like the most from any band from that period.
A  45 to 55 minutes long, maybe with a side long epic or whatever you want. It doesn't have to feature  your favorite tracks but also the ones that could make a consistent record that flows a coherent path as well. and name it (this will be fun).

Let's see what happens

it is very very dificult. Mine would be something like this:

SIDE1:
1. Starless (King Crimson) 12:18
2. Cirrus Minor (Pink Floyd) 5:18
3. Gong (Cathedral) 7:00
SIDE2:
4. The Cinema Show (Genesis) 11:09
5. Awaken(Yes) 15:18

What about yours...

can they be songs from 70s retro progsters, like Wobbler, Tangent, etc?

I tried to avoid these, but if you think the song is worth, go ahead.

A concept album of the most bizarre kind. I might do another, since this one was interesting to piece together, and doesn't sound that jarring.

Dreams For The Sleepless

Side 1 - Rags Of Hope (26:02)
In which the past is examined, anachronistic nostalgia and untimely losses are exhibited, and mortal traces of hope expire, drowned at £1 a bottle.

Downhill And Shadows (6:16) - Colosseum
Mood For A Day (3:02) - Steve Howe/Yes
After The Ordeal (4:15) - Genesis
Take A Pebble (12: 29) - Emerson, Lake & Palmer

Side 2 - Door To The Sunlight (23:40)
In which the body is retired, corrupted dreams and disgraced victories are reshaped, and the man that was a creature is restored, gazing through an open door to the sunlight.

Vital Transformation (6:17) - The Mahavishnu Orchestra
Birth (7:45) - Focus
Les Porches Du Notre Dame (Desouverture) (9:38) - Maneige

49:02

Edit: extra convolution added.

Damn, I thought this was a thread about making up a ridiculously pretentious band and album name along with some songs to go along with it, that would've been fun... someone should.

I liked the thing idea of trying to make them concept albums, even if very loosely

Side 1 "The ferocious side"

1 - Comus - Diana (4:37)
2 - King Crimson - Sailors Tale (7:21)
3 - Bubu - Sueños de Maniquí (9:16)

Side 2 "The introspective side"

4 - Van der Graaf Generator - Man erg (10:21)
5 - Yes - Awake (15:38)

I still think each song fits much better in their albums than in this sort of copilations
