This is a long shot. In fact when I think about it it's ridiculous but maybe worth a chance... I mean if it worked it wouldn't seem so stupid!!!Embarrassed

I'm an 18 year old bassist (Main influence Geddy Lee) looking to join or form a band in Sheffield or the surrounding area. I've tried all the regular "Musicians Wanted" websites with no success. It's either "Do you want to join my Pop-Punk band?" or no response at all. Getting frustrating as I haven't played in a band for almost a year now. Anyone at all have anything at all (Or know of anything at all) please let me know. This is a big enough forum and there has to be someone from Sheffield or thereabouts even if they don't wanna form a band who might know someone who does or has advice. Don't let my age put you off. I'll beat you on Yes trivia anyday!!!!! Jordan

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

Can you play recorder, harp or mandolin? I'm near Sheffield and I'm looking for a collaborator to compliment my tambourine-and-NES-tracker-programming-central music. We'll cover Napalm Death tunes and play for free at village fetes. =)

Hi wide angle watcher.

I posted an add last November looking for musicians wishing to join/form a prog rock band. I live in Leeds, so kinda just up the road from yourself.

I am a bit older than yourself (37) but have a love of Rush myself (have seen them 3 times, including the snakes and arrows tour...I don't need to say how amazing Rush are live...they continue to raise the prog rock bar in my opinion)

Anyhow, my main instrument is bass as well - but - I also play guitar and synths.

This is a modified version of the add I put in last November.

Would you be interested?

As I said, although I have advertised myself as a bass player, I also have many years experience playing both guitar and synths live...
