I'm not really a Camel fan, but I wanted to see which one would win.

Don't vote for your fave song, just vote for the solos.

Lunar Sea from the list, but my favorite Camel solo of all time is Rhayader Goes To Town.

Another great ones are Chord Change, Another Night, Rhayader Goes to Town & The Snow Goose.

As for my doubts, I voted 'other'.

Voted Other. Absolutely love the apocaliptical final solo of White Rider.

I voted for Lunar Sea, but the Snow Goose and Rhayader Goes to Town are as good.

Too many brilliant Latimer solos to choose from.

Andy's had his bone marrow transplant and is waiting to see if it's worked. My thoughts are with him for a rapid, complete recovery.

Ice, although there are so many!  Just a few are Stationary Traveller, Lies, Summer Lightning, Chord Changes.  While not technically excellent, the solo at the end of Never Let Go gives me goosebumps

Although not a very popular song/album here in the archives, the solo for Summer Lightening is very special to me...

Rhayader Goes to Town is the best one

Ice is my usual answer, but now I went for Straight to My Heart, since I've really grown to love that solo during the few last listens. The highlight of the song is still that one melody at that one point, absolutely stunning.

Rhayader Goes to town!!! It is pity this song is not in the list because I am pretty sure it would have won the poll

Hmmm, this is difficult because Andy Latimer is so overlooked... personally I prefer him to Gilmour.

I voted for Ice, but there are so many good solos there. Chord Change and Stationary Traveller are other good ones. In fact, Stationary Traveller was my first Camel album and I still think it's a great album even if it is replete with synths... some good songwriting there, even if the style isn't as desirable.

Have to go for Never let go too (other). Wish Latimer had done more of those but I believe he didn't.
