OK, I'll play along for now.

Welcome to the forum, 3rd Impression, and don't take it too seriously. An appreciation for the absurd goes a long way in life.

But may I suggest adopting a more conventional format for your posts? It makes them more readable and takes up less space.

And don't worry, you'll get the hang of responding to quotes. Just make sure the "[/QUOTE]" part is still there when you hit the "Post Reply" button.

In a sense, aren't we all reborn every day? With a fresh new opportunity to reinvent ourselves?

Of course, most of us continue to make the same mistakes over and over, but there's always the chance that we will become more than what we once were.

Hello Tony

I find this really odd,i joined this forum tonight over a recommendation of a friend.

A soon as i posted i was accused of being this 'K9' fellow?

What a strange thing to say, i was said to be he, because i centre my text.

Fine welcome.

Thank you.

It's not the text thing. It's because as Maani said, about 7 hours after KE9 said he "left" the forum, you came along. So it's only natural that everyone thinks that you are him.

well, you're right, 3rd impression hasn't said anything annoying yet, but KE9 definitely has. So if you really want a new chance on that forum then go ahead, I don't have a problem with that. But stop telling me you're not the same person as KE9, that's just ridiculous.

Hello 3rd impression ... I'll bite ...

Let's assume you're not KE9 ... in that case ... welcome to the forum, I'd like to apologise personally (can't presume to speak for others) for the sceptical welcome you have received. Might I suggest that you steer clear of discussing ELP for a little while just until the sceptics are convinced ... there are so many other great prog bands to discuss ... tell us what you think about the ones you know ... and what you'd like to know about the ones you're not so familiar with ... l

If on the other hand you are KE9 ... this is one of the most pathetic displays I've ever encountered ...

Hope to see you around ...

Well remember KE9 from the pre-elp madness even pre music after 1973 scandal, he was an interesting little bugger with a massive proto-prog collection. 2nd impression would be the hardcore give no ground ELP fanatic. this is all if 3rd is in fact KE9, but frankly i dont care. so long as things calm down around here.

You're probably right- if you really were KE9 trying to pretend you were someone else, you'd try to conceal it a little better. Someone would have to be ridiculously moronic to think that anyone would be fooled by simply changing their nickname and keeping every other telltale obvious element. Or, I suppose they just might not care whether they were 'spotted', and that seems...well, pathological and sad, really.

So if you are KE9, you're both a fool and a poor actor, or desperately in need of attention. If not, then with all due apologies: please stop posting denials and say something of interest.

One question 3rd Imp; vinyl or CD? Maybe you could post some pics of your extensive collection to convince us of your credentials.

Incidentally KE9, there's nowt wrong with cross dressing, but shave your legs eh?

Allright,to treat this seriously for a moment. 3Imp: You bear an uncanny and overwhelming resemblance to a member of this forum who very recently left in a bit of a huff and many therefore think that you are him in disguise, and not a very good one either,"sneaking" back into the forum,so to speak. Now that's no way to treat a lady, Reed, though how she can listen to prog with those delicate lady's ears amazes me. But remember, she's a lady who likes lady's things, so we should always remember that she's a lady and treat her the way a lady likes to be treated, with lots of ladylike compliments.

Just in case there was any doubt...

There exists a class of assertions which cannot be proven, yet remain overwhelmingly likely to be true. While lacking the tidy cleanliness of solid facts, doubting the truth of these assertions is fruitless- as proof depends on variables beyond one's grasp. Therefore it is reasonable to treat them as if they were true, in order to use them in further proofs or discard them as unnecessary to our epistemology.

Interestingly enough, many of our scientific advances rest upon such assertions.

The point is that we do not require absolute verification if the phenomena observed consistently behaves in a manner consistent with our suppositions. Only if there is a deviance from the pattern are we required to reexamine the available information and revise our beliefs.

Of course, there is another option: when the phenomena ceases to be meaningful or interesting, one can abandon examination altogether and devote one's time to more worthwhile questions.

You won't believe this,James but I though that very same thing just 30 minutes ago while I was vacuuming. I'm not kidding,it's really true! It's not one of your garden variety, run of the mill thoughts one unusally has while vacuuming,so how is this for an absolutely amazing and Twilight Zone-theme-tune-inducing-coincidence? What can I say except: Great minds think alike? Although, the whole supposition might just conceivably be complete bollocks,I'm never quite sure with my mind.

I agree; either whoever it is is trying to make us believe she is Karn Evil 9, or it's a hell of a coincidence. It's no problem though; there aren't any squabbles (yet!).
