People should have a look here... especially those more keen with the alternative acts. The sound here is interesting.

A question: is this band 'unsigned'? If not, we should move them to the Suggest New Bands forum. Smile

They have released a self-produced demo, so I suppose they are still unsigned.

Let's see if we can contact them on this issue, there's a reference to 'Mellow Records' on their MySpace page, but it's unclear to me whether that is a 'fake' used for the demo, or whether the release is a commerical product. I will drop them a message.

Back to the music: this is not just experimental. The tracks on MySpace include psychedelic and jazz rock influences at the same time. The opening of Riccorre l'abbandono made me thing of Porcupine Tree and some more experimental Kraut, but after a minute or so I though I was listening to Jaco Pastorius.
Riccorre l'abbandono pt. 2 again brings back to mind the heavier Porcupine work, but also heavier guitarwork in the vein of Adrian Belew's King Crimson.
The third track I heard, and the only one with vocals, is far more experimental. The vocals remind me of John Lydon (PIL, former Sex Pistols), but with slightly different Wink backing music. Very noisy, and still somehow well structured - heavy and dark. I want to hear more of this band for sure!

Folks, here's a short response I got from Sasha from J'Accuse. Keep an eye out for their debut album - another band seems to have made it out of 'Unsigned'! ClapClapClapClap

Hi Angelo! (ps. sorry for my english)
Thank u for compliments, i'm very happy that someone talk about our music in Progarchives.com..is inaspectated.
I've never seen before that site and it's very cool...perfect!

We are not an unsigned band :-))
Our debut album will be released at the end of the 2007 for Mellow Records. You can see that on Mellow Record Myspace:
http://www.myspace.com/mellowrecordsmusic

"Ricorre l'abbandono", the songs on my space, is the promo of our first Album:

"Abbandono del tempo e delle forme"

The album includes five songs and was recorded at sound development studio of Trieste here in Italy, and was mastered by Ue Nastasi at the Sterling Sound of New York in USA.

the third track on myspace is a live performance recorded at Lubjana in 2006.

If u need...or there are other question, contact me!

Bye bye! and thank u a lot!

Sasha -- J'accuse..!

We are seeing more of these bands that tag themselves Alternative / Progressive / Experimental and I'm beginning to get quite hooked on them. I'll see what the rest of Xover (ie MickyWink) thinks of J'Accuse.

I'd rather not wait that long. I just got news from the band (without asking!): they've finished recording and their album will be released at the end of January through Mellow Records.

I've seen this band last year here in my city, Imola (Italy).
They're very impressive! If you like Mars Volta and other modern progressive band with alternative influeces....this i thik is the only Italian band that rappresent this kind of style at the moment.

I'll waiting for their album release.  ClapClapClapClap

Yeah, nice band, but i talking also about J'accuse..! live performance.
I've listened their song "Ricorre l'abbandono"....very nice and complete song, but is very different that i remember....
This song is more Porcupine...with jazz and post rock progression.
I thinking their live is more rought and mars volta oriented also for the sound and psichedelic improvvisation...and i like more that "face" of band.

I'll buying their album for sureSleepy

Sasha from J'Accuse just let me know that the album release is slightly delayed. It's supposed to be pressed by Sony Austria, and the facility is closed for maintenance right now. No idea how someone could not have taken that into account when scheduling, oh well....

I've listende it!
It's a great album. It's like a mix of modern proggressive band. Mars Volta, Tool and King Crimson at same time.
They have many influences whitout depend from these. It's a very nice sound and stylistic choice.
4 stars for me!
