There seems to be continual debate on this site about whether to include particular bands, and which category some bands should be placed in.
I think the problem of classifying bands could be all but eliminated by allowing reviewers to specify what category they think a particular album belongs in. Individual albums could then be shown in the category that had the most votes (or perhaps the two most voted for categories, to give a more accurate representation), so the correct classification of an album would be determined democratically, rather than arbitrarily by the moderators.
This would also answer the question of which bands to include: all of them! Reviewers could make up their own minds whether a band was Progressive, Prog-Related, or some other category such as Rock or Pop. When searching for new music, users could simply ignore the categories they are not interested in, rather than complaining that a particular band doesn't belong on the site because they are not really "progressive" enough.
For most truly progressive bands, it is impossible to accurately confine them to a specific style - they tend to experiment throughout their careers, so their albums often cover a range of styles. If each album had it's own category determined by a popular vote, a lot of useless argument about whether a band belongs in Category X or Category Y could be eliminated.

I didn't even know this site existed, but you're right - it's almost exactly what I'm looking for.
Looks like I might have found my new music home on the internet...
