I'm gonna have around 100 reviews by the end of the month, it'll be pretty lame not to have my name up there.

Well, you've pretty much said it yourself, in the title. The top includes only Prog Reviewers and Collabs.

If you wanna become a Prog Reviewer, apply! Tongue

The main reason for the restriction is to prevent abuse. Prog Reviewers and collaborators are people who ahve proved themselves to be conscientious reviewers and contributors. The risk is that if we open the top 100 up to all, we will attract those who will submit poor reviews by the barrow load, just to climb the chart.

As Rico says, anyone who thinks they should be made a PR should get their application in. We do try to watch out for good reviewers, but I'm sure there are some we miss.

I don't want to include all of Sean Trane's reviews here; but I have found in going through PA's alphabetical listing, or at least 50% of the groups here during this past winter, summer & fall, that a good many of his reviews mention albums he's listened to 10-15-20 years ago, or brief 3-4 line comments as to how the group doesn't really do much for him, and in a few cases ... the dreaded & which I thought was not allowed "Am I at 75 words yet" review. I can't vouch as for the time periods, but I was surprised as many reviews that I read from him were pretty good.

If you check the dates on those reviews, I'm sure you'll find they go way back. Hugues has been working hard on updating many of them, so if you find a few left which need reworked, just let him know.Wink

So, where's your PR application?

I just did a random pick through your reviews, and liked to read things like this

Overall I think the less I say about this album the better, to over-analyze this album would detract from it's rawness and purity, I highly recommend this album to anyone into kraut or any kind of psychedelic freak-out stuff, I could even recommend this album to people who are into world music.

Embarrassed aww thank you that's one of my favourite albums. I lodged my application yesterday I figured I'd get to 101 just to be sure.
