My jazz audition is coming up and i'm in competition w/ my best friend for the guitar spot. The teacher's probably going to pick him since he's been in it for two years prior. We're gonna try to convince her to open a second guitar slot, but we need something to convince her. She doesn't believe in multiple guitarists in jazz, so does anybody know of any jazz bands that have two guitarists??? Help!!!

The great Miles band of the early to mid 70s had Pete Cosey and Reggie Lucas on guitar. Also Ornette used double guitars in a lot of his 80s bands.

There is a Wayne Shorter album with both McLaughlin and Sonny Sharrock on guitar.
Herbie Mann often had 2 guitarists, sometimes Sonny Sharrock with Larry Coryell.
