I listened a lot to Prince lately and I am blown away everytime by the quality of his compostions and guitar playing....BTW interesting comparaison to Zappa, both great guitar players, both  big fans of Hendrix, both revolutioinized their musical field in the before & after sense, both had big trouble with Warner Bros....and strangely both have a similar attitude on stage.... a mixture of Chef d'orchestre and Monsieur Loyal...
(this record contains some nice "audience participation" .... )

I picked out the record I listened to yesterday evening but you can pick up randomly nearly all his records ....

Prince & the NPG : One Nite Alone a 3CD live  set full of Power Funk, Soul,Jazz ,crunchy guitar solos and then some... featuring apart from the NPG Maceo Parker and Candy Gulfer on sax + as a guest George 'Funkadelic' Clinton ...

Tadpoles keep screaming in my ear
"Hey there! Rotter's Club!
Explain the meaning of this song and share it"
