Hi,

I already posted this in the "Music and Musicians Exchange" section, but it was suggested that I made a thread here. :) forum_topics.asp?FID=46 -

Just wanted to share my new song. It's not finished yet, so if you could give me some constructive criticism or ideas of what to add next / improve it, that'd be great :)

It's sort of a fusion of different genres, but I think Space rock would best describe it (influenced a lot by Pink Floyd).

Enjoy :)

Aren't you interested in pursuing a professional career, Adam? Smile

Ha, well I'm flattered that you'd ask that, but I haven't had that much experience writing music, I still need to experiment more before I think about anything like that. I'm studying music technology amongst other subjects for my A-Levels at the moment, and haven't really thought about what to pursue yet, So yeah, it's a possibility, but for now, just a hobby :)

I updated the song, replacing the last section with a, IMO, much more interesting part :D

Check it out, and your comments / constructive criticism are very welcome :)

sh*t. Sorry, forgot to update the link.

Here: http://www.garageband.com/artist/coatesmusic/songs - http://www.garageband.com/artist/coatesmusic/songs

It has a reasonable score on there, but it's a "review to get reviews" system, which can be annoying because people often tend to try and listen to / write about as little as possible just so they can get their songs in the review queue, and you wouldn't believe how dismissive people can be of a track just because it's instrumental.

ADMIN EDIT: Now the link is really a link Wink

Well Adam, it's certainly not bad, nice build up. The end needs a bit of work, it's kind of 'abrupt'. Not as abrupt as what Dream Theater pulled off with Pull Me Under, but still.

I didn't check your thread in Music/Musicians Exchange, could you elaborate a bit on what instruments you use - and of course, whether you are really on your way to becoming an unsigned band... Wink
