Subject: Problem submitting a review

I've just tried to submit a review of Caravan Live in Nottingham and I keep getting this error

error '80020009'

/post_rateit.asp, line 14

I don't know if this is anything to do with it, but I've noticed it says I'm logged in as 'guest' even after I've logged in with my usual email address/

Did you use the normal Log-in or the Quick Log-in? From what I heard, the latter expires shortly after activation.

Does it confirm you are logged in as Chopper OK, or as "Guest"?

I can't submit a review.I am logged in normally but every time I click submit I get an HTTP 500 error page.
It says that the site has a server problem.

Yeah, I get the same thing when I try to post the review using IE. The error I first mentioned occurs in Firefox.

Phew! I thought that it was because I'd made a review that the software didn't like.

I've just seen that someone else had posted this problem as well. I've tried the suggestion of logging in and out a couple of times, also deleted the PA cookie. It eventually logged me in correctly as chopper instead of guest and I've posted my review ok now.
I still think this needs looking at - it takes me long enough to write a review as it is without more problems!!Smile

Can you see if that works for you ME, and let us know.

The more details we can build up of solutions which work, the quicker we can get people sorted out.

I agre though, that we need to get the bug resolved.

It worked!

I logged out then logged in on quick log in.

Cheers ME. The quick log in is usually to be avoided though, as it chucks you off again soon after.

What was happening was that, when I logged in normally,it logged me in as Man Erg,manerg.

I know that there are a few manergs on the site and wondered if that had anything to do with it?
I spell my name Man Erg whereas other members spell theirs manerg, man erg or other variants.

The "method of logging" that I found it was useful for me to avoid being identified as a "Guest" while trying to write a review, edit them in my Prog Reviewer page or to edit the information of an album  was: first, "log in " in the Forum (I always use the "Quick Login" option), then go to the album for which you want to write a review, then "log in" there again, and you are identified by your correct name as a Forum member.

The quick log-in usually only logs you into the forum.  You have to log-in at the Collaborators Page if you want to review.

I'm always logged-in though, unless I'm posting from a different computer.

Seyo, it's probably a website link. If you remove the part before www., it should be OK.
