Who's voting for Ghost of Perdition
Anyway I guess the song that best showcases their sound and range would be "The Drapery Falls". I personally like Bleak, When, The Baying of the Hounds, To Bid You Farewell, and Advent. ------------- When the world is sick Can't no one be well But I dreamt we were all beautiful and strong

| I voted Godheads Lament because Still Life was my 1st Opeth cd and loved that song, but i could´ve voted easily for The Moor, Deliverance, A Fair Judgement or Ghost of Perdition... or To Rid The Disease (my fave from Dammation) if that was on the list. |

Oh gosh I am having a really hard time choosing! First I see The Leper Affinity, which is great, but then I see The Drapery Falls, and Blackwater Park, and Harlequin Forest, and Ghost of Perdition, Windowpane....gah so many choices. I'm going with Harlequin Forest. When I first got Ghost Reveries, it quickly became my favorite and remains of them them still. A tie for second to Blackwater Park and The Drapery Falls. |

I'll go for Black Rose Immortal, probably the best song off my favorite album. But it's nearly impossible to choose, they've been so consistently good.

The Drapery Falls, which is an interesting choice for me as I also find it to be one of the most...how shall I put this... "pedestrian" themed songs that I like. But there is something about the stanza and overall composition that just feels right.
Ghost of Perdition is a close 2nd. I have actually only been into Opeth about 1 year. BP, GR and the Lamentation DVD are the selections I have to this point.

Probably "Serenity Painted Death" or any other long tune in "Still Life", but one thing I don't see in Opeth is a big HUGE highlight. The reason for that problem is that they are too consistent in quality, so most of their long songs are highly memorable. EDIT: this poll was mine? wow, my memory's awful. |
