On July 6, 1957 (a half CENTURY ago) a young fella named Paul McCartney met a seasoned 16-year old named John Lennon for the first time after the latter played a gig on the back of a flatbed truck in a churchyard with The Quarrymen....

Yep, a pretty significant date (and I hadn't realised Embarrassed).
Here's to Ivan Vaughan, the most important man in the history of rock (for it was he who introduced them).

On Friday 13th July 1973 the Queen released their first album. Somewhere in Italy, a certain Paolo was born on the same day... Embarrassed
