This group is from Ohio. A little difficult to categorize.

From their MySpace page

About Alpha Zentradi

We strive to be who we want to be... loud and soft, hard and slow, high and fast... we like to show it to you while we keep it in our pants. No seriously, this band is here to do a progressive-ambient-psychadelic-moodswing-driven-raw-bluesy-feel-good-hit-of-the-summer-dirty musik.

Ah ha!  Some people who know how to use guitars for atmospheres.  I like it.

The music can be challenging at parts (especially compared to certain bands within the genre of space music), and has a strong base in good songwriting and nice atmospheres.  I hear a good amount of influence from a mix of Prog Metal bands and more spaced out bands, which creates a wonderful mix, especially because those are two of my specialties (if I even have specialties ConfusedLOL).

Anyways, great tunes, worth hearing for any fans of spacey music with an edge to it, or just fans of Progressive Metal.

Glad you like them.  I suppose this band should be mentioned in the CDbaby thread, that's where I found them.

Nice!  They have 2 releases, Hello Copernicus and Five Man Army.  Looks like they're still unsigned. Good sound though.  I wonder if they might even be a psychedelic consideration.

I added them to the prog metal chart ... I voted "yes", they could even go to the "Experimental/Post Metal" category.

BTW: The two albums are also available as mp3 downloads on Amazon.com.
