Today I recieved this in my private messenger. Did anyone recieve this as well?
Hi there,
Thought you might be interested in the album CERULEAN BLUE by Rain:
“A compelling freshness and originality and a fantastic voice. The best thing I’ve heard for years.” PHIL COLLINS
“I love this album – I’ve never heard anything like it.” TONY SMITH (Manager – Genesis/Phil Collins)
There's a great extended musical "quote" from Watcher of the Skies on track 5 and lyrics references to Supper's Ready on track 6.
Samples and online ordering at http://www.telosmusic.net/ -
Thanks
Tom
P.S....I am sending one to everyone except Tuxon because he's not important enough.

| It's actually the name of a Bruford/levin track on the Upper Extremities album. I can image Bill and Tony in floppy trousers and bolero jackets.
I downloaded it and I think it's pretty good. The vocals are a bit Bono-ish. Themusic, ambient and smooth.
The spamming is a bad idea though.

I wouldn't ever buy any item product of spamming, don't care how good it is, the simple act of giving me unrequested propaganda is enough to disqualify it.

Hi all,
Just thought I'd let you know that this is my album and the guy who posted all the spam to you did so without my knowledge or permission (he also did this on another mailing list and I'm still running around trying to pick up the pieces). I've discussed this with the moderators and it won't happen again (The guy is a "fan" who thought he was trying to help - good intentions and the road to hell etc etc).
I'm really sorry if this has irritated anyone and I'm only glad I found out about it before it went too far.
Thanks for your understanding.

Hey Dominic. I didn't receive the spam (joined about a month later), but most here at least seem to have enjoyed it to some extent (the music, not the spam ), so I doubt anyone has hard feelings toward you.
BTW, welcome. I realize you probably just joined to clear this up, but if you stick around, all the better .

Hello Ben and all,
Thanks for being so gracious about this.
I've just read the reviews on the site here and they are saying that Cerulean Blue is "a masterpiece of progressive rock", so I have to stick around now, don't I!
Thanks
Dominic
BTW Ian the admin guy says some people are still getting these messages. If anyone has a problem can they let me know?

Hi Dominic
I didn't receive the spam either (I think I joined after it started) but it certainly would have pissed me off. So nothing like silly active fans, uh?
I downloaded Cerulean Blue and I'm listening to it just now. I find it really enjoyable (not sure about the "masterpiece" qualification: time is needed for that). Oh, and another thing: I would ask Phil Collins to stop saying good things about your album: that can be scary for most of us prog lovers .
I'd like to comment on something: a great debate is opened about the piracy stuff (at the moment there is a thread about that running in this forum). I have always thought that the best thing to do about that is exactly what you have done: do you want to check the music before you buy it? Fair enough. Do you want to get the music for free? Completely unfair. So, I can't understand why bands don't do what you have done: just put some low quality mp3 samples available for free download. That's more than enough to listen to it and see if you find it worth spending money on it, but at the same time very few of us music lovers will consider a 96 kbps sample suitable for burning to a CD and keeping it as the "real thing". It seems simple, but... I said I can't understand why more bands don't do it, but maybe the answer is that they don't dare to let people check the product before buying it... just in case...
Keep on proggin'!!!

Hi Nacho,
Thanks for your thoughts. The "masterpiece" thing is just what they have on the review site here if you get more than four and a half blobs. I think you have to take it with a bucket of salt! Glad you're enjoying it anyway.
Yes I know what you mean about the Phil Collins quotes - it might put me off as well! Having said that, he really was very helpful and I have to be grateful for that.
The "piracy" question is something I've thought long and hard about and I agree with everything you say. I hear about all sorts of new bands and artists on these forums and lists but I can't afford to shell out £15 for a CD just in case I might like it. I can't understand why more people don't do it either. The "illegal" copying of music is the best and cheapest form of promotion that the record industry has and has been for the last thirty years.
Enough! I could go on about this all day...
The best statistic of all... since we put up the free, full download, CD sales have gone up by more than a factor of 10. So if any other bands or artists want to do this, let me know.
Dominic
