We have tried to be most honest and spontaneous, focusing to creative process, not trying to do something fitting some desired category. Hopefully you like our stuff!

Sleepless - guitar meanderings (background hissing is a bit irritating, but I can clearly see why is it there )
Dark Forest - I'd rather call it Dope Forest . Great groovy stuff, reminding me a bit of GONG ...?...no?Anyway, I'd like to see it performed live!
The Meaning of Death - dark yet subtle beginning, then heavy rumble in almost BLACK SABBATH vein!!! After REALLY psychedelic part goes galloping coda - very intense and frightening. Like it!
Honestly (don't take it as a self-promotion!) your music has reminded me of my own stuff I composed back in 2003 !!! (3 long half-improvised cuts recorded live in garage ).I'll upload them someday just to make you sure - same way insane wah-wah guitars, reoccuring themes and lo-fi atmosphere. Groovy man!!!

Hi there - I only had a chance to listen to 'The Meaning of Death' so far, so I'll give you my take on that and listen to the others soon. :)
I'm guessing the song is mixed purposefully so that the volume tops out? It sounds like it.
This is a very, very psychedelic song. Usually psych-prog isn't my cup of tea, but this is certainly a successful psych-prog song. Very dark but in an unusual way, not the more common brooding-meloncholy prog-metal way. You've produced a cacophony of sound and yet at the same time there is a definite order to it. To me this music conjures up the emotions that I associate with movies I've seen about organized crime... or maybe James Bond. I'm not sure where that came from!
The pulsing that shows up at about 8:00 re-energizes the song, and goes very well with your song title. At about 10:00 your song changes gear again and seems to be winding down (toward death, I'm guessing?). I'm glad that the song stayed on this path toward the end, rather than revving back up, because so much of the song was already so violently active.
Good job. :)

This is some extremely cool stuff. Very Ozrics-esque.

There's no mixing, we recorded it with a 1970's magnetofone to a normal tape, and transcribed that as wav. "Charlie can't mix".

Thank you MonkeyphoneAlex and StarsongAgeless for your positive feedback! We have done this only to amuse ourselves, if anybody else should rejoice our playing, we have over-exceeded our goals!
Here's a latest near 10 min. long unedited improvisation from our now deceased rehearshal junkyard: http://www.mikseri.net/music/play.php?id=291439&type=dl" rel="nofollow - http://www.mikseri.net/music/play.php?id=291439&type=dl Edit: link expired
As we don't have currently a place to play, we'll have to focus on browsing trough our rehearshal tapes. A bit over 50% of our playing sessions are on tapes, man I can tell you there are hundreds of them! Sadly in many cases the sound quality is unbearable poor, and sometimes the improvisations are mostly great, but then ruined by some silly mistake. Well, hopefully we find as soon as possible another basement to dwell and learn more. One of our friend has a great vintage mixing table, and he know about recording tech, and we have agreed to do some recordings with him in the future. If we get this goal achieved, we'll open MySpace pages with that material, stay tuned!
PS. A hint about the "Mikseri" web-platform, if you click the band names in the "Influenced by" section in the bottom of the page, you can find other bands in Mikseri who have selected same bands to their influences. Sadly there's no other bands influenced by ASH RA TEMPEL there yet...

Nice, Eetu! I'm not really into psychedelic right now, and most of the time not into noise, but based on the suggestions above I tried The Meaning of Death, and it's definitely dark, psychedelic, and loud! Keep it up.

There's a strong ANEKDOTEN through it...probably due to Flute Mellotron. Is it just me or you did it on purpose?

Well... if Ben likes it, I have to check it out
Seriously though - this one is less dark than the one I listened earlier, and I must say I like it a lot. Sound quality is not optimal, but that could be due to one of my speakers right now. Keep posting, Eetu - and more important: keep jamming!

Well, ANEKDOTEN is a band we all three like very much, so it's no surprise their influence might be heard here and in some other tracks. Sadly we don't have Anna-Sofi nor Mellotrons with us (Anna-Sofi is probably happy when she misses our company, but the Mellotron wouldn't care).

I'm sure it's our lo-fi recording quality... We have an old Telefunken tape magnetophone which's internal mic we use for the recordings... The future plan is to go to record to a studio, or at least get a person who knows something about recording (we don't!) to tape us. But first we need a new training room...

There's some more improvising do with our friend Sweet Anderson on this band project "Sweet Aspects" ( http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=43753 - http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=43753 ) if you missed it and are interested. We are planning further sessions and a live gigs with this quartet project, when we just get some hellhole to train playing.

Since we last talked, our band has rehearsed more, composed more songs, played few concerts and reached the age of ten years (after)..

Our current near future aims are following:
- practicing more an more (never enough...)
- creation of MySpace pages and promo CD's with new recording equipment done
- giving out more concerts to a targetted audience done
This hopefully to leading later to a record contract deal or establishment of an own label (artist pays).

^ Nope; We are currently doing a demo of our half-hour long suite, and from beginning of next year we are also seeking new training room, and probably keeping short pause in order to get worn-out gears fixed, tuning up the web presence and fixing promo materials.
Some open tunes have been developed, and from my own perspective I think I would just need more time to practice technical side of playing precision, and then this would start to elevate to correct levels.

...I've just made a small ride into your myspace page...really catchy and groovy psyched out rockin improvs. Some compos incorporate nice bluesy-krauty-stoney vibes into the mix (Going North....). I appreciate the way these musical pieces success to capture the essence of spacey rock golden age.
good luck and keep us informed about further development.
