Rolling Stone magazine will be releasing  DVD this fall that will contain every printed issue of the music magazine. At the moment the cost is set at $119.99USD.
Personally, there are some eras that might be of interest, but I figure I can find that info elsewhere on the web, without having to put up with their sometimes insufferable atitude.

No, I'd only be very interested in their Progressive Rock related articles.

As an R.S. aside/ digression: Their http://www.rollingstone.com/news/story/5938174/the_rs_500_greatest_albums_of_all_time - top 500 albums and songs lists, for instance, are too Prog-lite for my tastes and don't represent world music nearly enough (as a fan of French chamber rock, the Italian Prog scene, and Spanish and Portuguese music, it's not of particular interest to me).

From wikipedia: "One criticism is that the list suffers from a strong bias towards American and British artists: out of the 500 songs, 357 are from the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/US - US and 117 from the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UK - UK ; the third most represented country is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canada - Canada with only 10 entries, then the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republic_of_Ireland - Republic of Ireland with eight. The list includes only one song not sung in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_language - English : " http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Bamba_%28song%29 - La Bamba " (#345), by http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ritchie_Valens - Ritchie Valens (an American-born singer)."

Not one song in Kobaian?  For shame!

Anyway, it illustrates that the magazine's music focus and mine are at odds on the whole, and so I'm not really that interested in supporting the magazine (some good writers have got their start there, and I'm sure I'd find many articles of interest -- I don't only listen to progressive Rock -- but not worth the price for me).

Incidentally, this poll will be moved.

Not for 119 bucks I won't.  If It were 20 or something I'd snag it.

I think it will provide an enjoyable read, certainly the early 70's might be nice, but not worth 120 dollar.
