Regarding my "DPRP April Fools?" (NOTE: The question mark), I started this thread in the hopes of somebody shedding light on whether or not they were true. Imagine my surprise when I came back to check on my thread to see it arbitrarily closed.
Getting a bit weary of the admis giving the thumbs up/down on threads that actually mean something, but seeing goofy April Fools threads like William Hung's hanging around for two friggin' pages.

Oh, and since the admin who closed it didn't identify themselves, I chose this particular forum to get to the bottom of it. I'm sure it'll be closed in no time at all, too. I actually don't want THIS one to endure.

Thats not right.
I was actually hoping to get some valuable information out of your thread, too.
And I'm not too happy about the fact that most of the threads getting closed are informative threads, either.

In their defense, maybe they thought it was a bullsh*t thread that I was simply sharing; however, I genuinely want to know what's going on with these bands. Especially The Flower Kings.
I just wish they would've either stated or reason or come to me about it. Maybe that's not how they operate, but it's frustrating nonetheless.

The April fool thing got a bit out of control E-dub. I'm not sure who closed your thread, but I suspect it just got caught up in the general tidy up of all the April fools related items.
If you still have something you'd like to get some answers to, just open another thread (but don't mention April fools in the title!).
No need for the generalised asides by the way, you made your point well in your post and could have left it at that.

Indeed. I almost got the ITCOTCK-esque image of Ruben on the first page.

I actually posted a picture of a walrus at the very bottom of my Sgt. Progger's review, but it was removed shortly. Still you could say that there was a pic of a walrus on PA's 1st page on April 1st. Now I should try to contribute something serious.

I felt I had every right to express my views and feel I handled them respectfully. I didn't resort to name calling and essentially stated what was fact. If anyone has an issue with it can PM or email me at any time.
Thanks for the update.

So, it is possible to post pictures in reviews?

You're not supposed to, but you can. I would not like to tell about it in any other way but the vague one due to consciousness, as making the information public would mean a possible threat to the website *outside of the AFools day* and I wouldn't want the front page to look dismal on a mundane day. Let's just say that you must be a Collab to do it. Not because Collabs have a facility to post pictures in reviews, but rather because one facility lets them do it (although something tells me it is literally abusing a bug of the system). Furthermore, why should we use pictures in a review, the purpose of which is to inform about music? "Look guys, Howe's guitar looks like this:" ?
On the April Fools day we had William Hung, a Decapitated Walrus album and a picture of a walrus all on ProgArchives, front page included, and that was great fun for that particular day. Let's remember it as good fun for that day alone... and forget about repeating these things on any other day.
