The free version is only in 128 Kbps for a couple of reasons. First, it would rape my bandwidth more than it already will. Second, it's a good reason to buy the CD version because I'm poor. If you do want a hard copy go to the order page of jaytholen.net and click the link there. It would be greatly appriciated. :10bux:
I also just recently added a 192 kbps download for 5 bux. You also get a couple of deleted tracks, as well as free downloads for anything else I release ever.
The genre is kind of hard to pinpoint. As stated in the thread title, I consider it electronic prog-pop, but there are little hip-hop, jazz, and ambient throwbacks as well. Oh, and a lot of Canterbury influence. I'm sure that my voice will annoy some of you here, just try to focus on the music. Before anyone says anything, I know king Louis didn't die at 35. I read the encyclopedia article wrong. :(
I also know I spelled pavilions wrong now too. Thanks Firefox spell check.
Reviews, if you've got the time, would also be cool. I like feedback. Enjoy. :)

I'm listening to this for a second time. I really do like it. I am familiar with most of the bands from which you say you are inspired, but, to be honest, I am having trouble picking them out. I'd say the whole thing reminds me most of Ayreon, but still, it's very original from my perspective! The songs are short and different, but maintain the same style, as I'd expect in any concept album. I like the playful nature of this album. Your vocals work for it, but are at times distracting. The music is interesting and keeps me listening. The sound effects at the beginning of songs don't fail to set the mood properly. My biggest complaint: in just about every song, the mellotron is very low in the mix. I guess that's just a matter of taste though.
