I don't care for the "Best (insert genre) album of (insert year in 70s)," but everything else is OK.

Exact same. The complainers should forget about Rush for a while, and check out your stuff instead.

I actually love em, they dont contain the standard bands that everyone always associates with prog. Its nice to look at a poll and see an album I've never heard of winning, because that tells me I should check it out.

At least DB polls are better than DT polls.

thanks, ive been slammed around for over a year now, so ive grown a little sensative!
when I first got here french prog was almost unknown here. avestin and oliverstoned have done a great job with introducing many more continental bands and speak with others about their experiences. i have also spent alot of effort with getting across kosmiche muzik(late 70's german/french) idealogy with forum members. avestin and philippe have been instrumental in getting reviews and bands included in the archives. all have been blessings in their efforts. pointing to Lard Free, Dun, Atila, Samla Mammas Manna, Jukka Tolonen, Picchio dal Pozzo, Travelling, Axis, Secret Oyster, Embryo, SSF, Celeste, Alphataurus, Granada, Maneige, Utopia, Dixie Dregs, Kingdom Come, Brian Eno and many others have opened some eyes up on both sides of the Ocean.  thanks for the input, i never wanted to be a know it all only to help others to find great music that maybe havent had the exposure to the years and time I have been around progressive rock and music as a whole. i know it gets expensive and often the media is deceiving, this is the only way i knew how to offer input and/or a little guidance.
