Best Series Ever, but the best book in the best series? Obviously a topic worth arguing about.
I know The Salmon of Doubt isn't OFFICIALLY a Hitchhiker book, but, according to Adams in an interveiw, If he ever finished it, it could be the Next Hitchhiker book.
As for Young Zaphod Pays it Safe, Short stories still count. -------------

If you don't like Terry pratchett how likely is it you won't enjoy the Hitchhicker series?

Being a Server, you would think that "Restaurant" would be my favorite. However, it is "Life, the Universe, and Everything." Arthur flying, the references to Paul McCartney, all great stuff. I think Restaurant is the book with the Golgafrincham mythology and that's the only cultural reference point I've ever needed since =P

The first is the best and the most imaginative. After the Restaurant... he started forcing the ideas a little bit. But they're all worth having. Man is a genious. I'm just reading "Hollistic Agency". Worming up, it is turning to an interesting piece. |
