My question is very simple -- what the policy of the site about singles is?

Singles are plenty, but not all of them are added to the bands' discography. In my opinion, there is a certain sense in adding singles containing material which has never been released on the original full-time albums (I'm not speaking of the later compilations or remastered albums), and no sense at all in adding all the other singles. But opinions aren't count, only the official (guide-)lines.

I agree with you - if the single contains something unique then it should be on PA, otherwise, if it is simply songs plucked from an album then I couldn't care less .... just my opinion though

I would like to have chart history of the singles to be attachedTongue

just to see how many nr1 hitsingles are released by prog bands.

The official site policy is that singles should be added. I would suggest though that consideration is given to the relevance of the single before adding it. For example, does it contain rare material?

if it's the case of singles having a hit from the proper album, I say it has the lowest relevance.

in other words, the material should have its design.
