Subject: Unable to use colour, etc!

Suddenly, I can't use colours, bold, italics, underline, emoticons, etc. in my posts. I had thought this was confined to PMs, but it seems to be everywhere. I'm not even sure that I can receive colours, etc, in other's posts any more. Everything I read seems to be uniformly black, and in a standard, boring font.
(This soul-killing situation will slowly slay me.)
I upgraded Windows recently -- might that be the cause, do you think?
Wah wah wah, etc!

I can't post pics, either.
(Not even of Menudo!)

Of course you can't use colour. This forum software (in it's endless wisdom) has obviously outlawed misspelled words.
On a more serious note:

Assuming Peter is using Internet Explorer 7 there is one way his predicament could be solved, using another internet browser, Firefox 2.0 has no problems with the colour or font system

Perhaps.
How would I know? (Seems to be latest version.)
In your post, BTW Tony, I don't see colour, but code thingies, but in everyone else's (very helpful) posts here I see colour.
& not even being able to post pics of Menudo is a real pain, let me tell you!

You put COLOR=red in square brackets to start the colour and then put /COLOR in brackets to end the colour.

Yes -- I see that in Tony's post, but I don't see any actual colour.

Peter go to firefox.com and that leads you to mozilla's website. Download Firefox 2.0. It works and it is one click.

Max has promised to update the forum soon so that IE7 works. I have previewed and tested this update and IE7 works wonderfully well.

ctrl (control) is on the bottom right of your keyboard below the "shift" key.
You highlight whatever you want to copy ( so that it is highlighted in blue) by left clicking your mouse and move along the word or object until it is fully highlighted. Then press "ctrl" and then "c" (the letter c on your keyboard) and the word/object will be saved to the "clipboard" on your PC. Click in the post reply box and then select "ctrl" then "v" and the text/object will be pasted into the box...
...sorry if this is over-simplified but it's best to be clear..

The irony of this is that the new forum software does not have any problem with internet explorer 7 technically - it just doesn't recognize it as the successor of internet explorer 6.
