I can't use my full name in my forum profile

Whenever I try to put my full name, Bartłomiej Ślązak, in my forum profile it turns into some gibberish. I think it's because the forum software can't handle polish lettering.
It really bugs me... Can it be solved somehow?

Its more of a question of being at a loose end and trying to comunicte with smiley's only.
