Since my "Worst of..." poll created a little tension I decided to make this one. Second era goes from Signals to A Show of Hands (Not included because it's a live album). Nor Moving Pictures or Presto belong to this era. I pick Signals, simpy awesome, one of the most Moody albums ever made.

This is the easiest poll ever as opposed to you previous "The worst.." one.

I only like GUP from all those above.

Yes this poll really is much easier than your other poll.

So, Signals for me.

Grace Under Pressure is miles ahead of Signals, one of their absolute best albums

GUP is my favorite, with PW in second place. I don't like the other two - BTW, Signals is the worst Rush album IMHO. I know that some people will strongly disagree, but I simply don't like this album!!!!

My favourite is POWER WINDOWS... Musically is not the best but it has a high sentimental value for me...

For me too. It showcases geddy's skills on keyboards, much more than on the previous records.

The remaster of Power Windows sounds fantastic on my hi-fi! OK so Signals is better songs wise but the production is poor.Disapprove

Signals are their last masterpiece, five star album.

Quite a difficult one this, as I was torn between Signals and Power Windows.
Grace Under Pressure was one of the last Rush cds I bought, simply because I was never particularly enamoured of it. I felt it was, and still is, terribly cold and 'of its era'.
True, Afterimage and Beneath The Wheels are wonderful pieces, and the latter contains one of my favourite Lifeson solos, but the rest of the album doesn't do a great deal for me. That would be my last choice here.

Hold Your Fire I do enjoy, but sometimes the songs merge together in my head and aren't outstanding enough for me to remember them for long after listening to them. I like the production on it though.

Signals has some wonderful moments on it, especially New World Man with its superb catchy bass line and melody, and the bitter-sweet Losing It.

But, in the end, I voted for Power Windows. For a long time, it was my favourite Rush album. And it is still one of my favourites. No weak songs, good melodies, and powerful, clean playing. Middletown Dreams is probably my fave track, but it's hard to be sure!
Great stuff!Clap

Signal for me

One of their two 80 last good albums, with GUP in my opinion
