I really like what i've heard of this genre, but i have only got one album, "The Inner Mounting Flame".
Please give recomendations here!

Many Canterbury groups play jazz-rock too, so I can recommend the following: - Hatfield and the North - s/t and The Rotters' Club - National Health - s/t and Of Queues and Cures - Soft Machine - Third and Sixth |

Maneige and Nucleus are my favorite fusion bands, they're both very underrated.

Nucleus first two albums are great (not that I compare them to the others since I have only these two, but they are still great).
If (not in PA; I can recommend Waterfall; at all, worth checking other albums too).
Tonton Macoute -- their only album, amazing, in my opinion; however, I'd define it more like Art-Rock; they are listed as Jazz-Rock/Fusion in PA.

best part is all these albums and artists sound so diff from one another.....so much wonderful stuff to explore and immerse oneself in.....

The big four Alex in my opinion are: Bill Bruford (and his related works i.e. Earthworks) Jean-Luc Ponty Al DiMeola (and related projects) Frank Zappa And to a lesser extent Allan Holdsworth is also fantastic.  -------------

Check out Planet X - MoonBabies ... a controversial album, quite heavy at times and often accused to be overly technical. Great fusion nonetheless!

Superprog you must catch up on Alex MacHacek. [Sic] with Terry Bozzio is probably one of my top three jazz rock albums released this year - but as McHacek (different spelling for some reason) Alex released a tour de force with Featuring Ourselves. Then Bozzio MacHacek and Preinfalk as BPM, album Delete & Roll is worth a listen, if not for the challenging polyrhythms Bozzio brings. And then there is Bugge Wesseltoft - for instance his contributions to Terj Rypdal's Vossabrygg (ECM) are both subtle and telling |

oh btw i do have Rypdal's latest and yes its great stuff..... Bug Wesseltoft has got sh*tloads of stuff on Jazzland and Jazzaway label......when the money comes in i'll get that too....
