I was wondering if anyone had ever heard of the late great trumpet Player Bill Chase who headed a band called Chase?

They made about three albums, which seem to be collector's items and I can't seem to get my hands on them.

Yo Semi,

What style does he delve into? Jazz, Avante garde, Fusion?

Does he have a web site?

Chase's music was the consumate Rock Jazz fusion but with vocals. It was the best I've ever heard.

Bill Chase died in a car crash about twenty years ago   but his music is still popular. That's why it's been going on Ebay for twenty-five and thirty dollars.

He made three albums, a S/T album which featured five or six songs on one side, including "Hello Groceries" and "Handbags and Gladrags". On side two was a remarkable song about suicide called "Invitation to a River" and it takes up all of side B so it must be about twenty minutes long.

Another album they made which is every bit as good is Ennea. It is about Greek Gods and has titles like "Posidon", "Chronus", "Jupiter", "Hades" and "Zeus". This is an amazing album.

There is a third album, which I've never heard but I'm sure it's good. I've seen the second and third albums offered on one CD.

I have managed to get several of Chase's songs downloading so you could do it if you're persistent. It's worth it.

These albums were re-released about five years ago on CD and that's what I've been trying to get.
