No, but I think Martin Popoff (who also wrote a book on Rush) wrote one. I suppose you could find it on Amazon.

a dedicated metal fan: I've got one of his books (the 70's enclopedia of heavy metal

His Canadian (from British Columbia) roots makes him review some horrible and forgettable bands like Moxy, Teazr and a few more horrendous

Don('t like his writing style much, though

I absolutely agree with you, Hugues. I find his books next to unreadable - he seems to me one of these people who like to show off their writing skills by using an impenetrable style liberally peppered with unusual words.

Thanks for warning me about him, I was keen to read his Rainbow book. Think I´ll give it a miss.

I haven't read his BOC book, but I have read several others.  I would suggest that, since there aren't a lot of BOC books out there, you ought to give it a try.  I agree about his writing style to an extent ... his reviews are nothing short of unreadable.  However, I've not had that problem with the books he's written regarding specific bands.  If you're looking for info, it's tough to turn down any source, and as I stated before, bookstores aren't overflowing with info on Rainbow, BOC, UFO, etc.
