THE NICE are mentioned in these forums from time to time. I think they were excellent, and ahead of their time. By the time I started listening to their music in 1972 they had already split, so are vintage Prog even by this old

It is a very good box set indeed.Pretty much all you need to know about them.

BTW I had the recent pleasure of meeting Davy O'List who was the guitarist in the original line up of the band.Extremely nice guy.

I saw Keith Emerson and The Nice play in October 2003 but, due to the terrible sound system, unfortunately it was a major letdown. There was bad mains p

I saw the Nice at Hammersmith Appollo around that time.The first half of the show was poor from a sound point of view but they managed to sort it out in the second half.BTW Don't get Three Fates onto the subject of Dave Kilminster singing 'Battlefield' LOL

Excellent set at a ridiculously cheap price and all the better for that - and the  John Peel advert for the band (from the man who claimed prog was Bollox)
