Where did you get this info from?

http://www.riverside.art.pl/dyskografia.html - Here in the polish version of the site. And also change the year of release of Out Of Myself from 2004 to 2003. The single Conceiving You was released earlier than Second Life Syndrome album. Thak You.

Done Publius, but I will have to consult someone on how to change the order of releases.

Thanks for the info you've given me.

I don't know why the polls did this, I didn't make them.

The band itself states this in their site:

http://www.riverside.art.pl/eng/zespol.html

"And so the last months of 2003 turned out to be revolutionary for Riverside. The band parted company with Jacek Melnicki, leaving behind the way they used to work. As a trio, they finished mixing the debut album, "Out Of Myself," just in time to release it before Christmas."

I'm not trying to be an ***, but we're talking about release dates right?
about Out of Myself:
Allmusic says: Sep 21, 2004
And besides that, I can't find a site that says it was released in 2003.

Yeah I also thought it was available worldwide only somewhere in mid 2004.

Are you sure that is not a Polish edition you are talking about Assaf?

Yes it is release dates we are talking about.
They don't asy anything about it being a Polish edition, but even so, by which edition do we go?
By the worldwide edition?
By the country of origin edition?
And what about bands that have their albums released in the USA months if not a year later than in Europe (happened mostly in the 70's, but there are metal bands that this applies to - I will look for references, I don't remember them now) ?
By which edition to you want to register bands here? Worldwide? It's not always worldwide (as I said above) but for most cases it is, then if it was released in Poland before the rest of the world, why should or shouldn't it go by the country of origin?

I too did not see any site say this, except for the official Rivreside website.
So, do I ignore what the band has to say, and go by what the whole world says?

Your opinions, please.

We are talking about first release. Date of first release, don't matter - country, Europe or USA - is always a date of debut, date of release of the album. It's easy and obvious. There's nothing to talk about.

First of all Publuis, there is a place to talk about this. This is not your own private site, and things do not go on the whim of one man here. It may not be to your liking, but that is how things are done here.

Tristan raised a more than legitimate question here and so did I. And second, the question was more to other people here (they know who they are) for them to say what is the common procedure for this.

Publuis, I suggest a bit of toning down your statements. I was more than curtious with you all along, and checked your data and changed it according to your info, so a little bit of respect towards others is expected in retun.

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to abuse anybody. I know this is not my private site. I'm only a simple member. I only expressed my opinion without anger or any other negative emotion. Simple, neutral opinion.

For me it is obvious that the date of release should be a date of first release generally. It's not important that it was country, European or world release. First release ever is a first release. Simple. I don't know how to explain it simplier.

Well, until a new notice Out Of Myself remains in 2003.

BTW, There is no such thing as "simple members". As I see it all members are worthy people who love prog, and everyone's opinion is worthy. You have to acknowledge that other people may have other views. Even though I completely agree with you on the first release issue, I think there is a decent way to say it. I think I may have misunderstood your tone of your previous post, so I apologize for responding like this, as it was probably uncalled for.

Case closed.

By the way. Do You know how to change the order of albums in discography alredy? The correct order of Riverside releases should be:

2003 - Riverside (Promo)
2003 - Loose Heart (SP)
2003 - Out of Myself
2005 - Voices In My Head (EP)
2005 - Conceiving You (SP)
2005 - Second Life Syndrome

Thank You
