The soundclip is from a new project called MindSplit. We are about to record the drums now so on this clip it's just programmed drums...

Is it sound interesting?

Wow, I am impressed. All the instruments are clear and the lyrics are very good, I like it! Any chance of a sample when youve recorded the drums?

Spending more than I should on Prog since 2005

Music Is Pretty Good. But it suffers what a lot of Prog Music Suffers Vocals Aren't Narrative or charismatic enough and the lyrics are mediocre. But cool music

The music is good, reminds me a lot of early Dream Theater (you guys wouldn't have been listening to the first DT album at any point would you)? Not my style, but I can hear the talent & work that went into it...

I am happy to hear that you liked it!!!

I forgot to tell you that the vocals will be rerecorded because it so far only is for the working purpose for the drummer and for breaking up ideas. (I hope you understand my english ;)

Have you guys listened to any other clips on the site or are your comments only on Silhuettes?

Sleeper: I'll se what I can do ;)

Regards,

Mathias

To be honest I love Dream Theater and they are a great source of inspiration for me. But Ive got other big influences like Mike Oldfield, Pink Floyd, Yngwie Malmsteen, Vinnie Moore (as a lot of people says my guitarworks sounds as on my album "Pictures Of A Dream" see: http://user.tninet.se/~zxb232f/mathiasholm/ - http://user.tninet.se/~zxb232f/mathiasholm/ ), Tony Macalpine, Queensr˙che and more :)

Though I hope the sound on the album will be much better than it is on the first Dream Theater album...

Thankz!

Prog metal and DT is where my progressive journey begun but now it's history for me. However, if this is a demo, then it deserves applause. Good luck!
As Gatot would say - keep on proggin'...!
