Since I saw that King Crimson was moved from the Symphonic prog to Art rock (It kinda makes more sence) I was thinking of maybe also changing Van Der Graaf Generator to Art rock also since they both share some similarities particularly in their heavy sound and that they are not so symphonic (KC was only symphonic in their Sinfield era IMO).

What are your opinions on this topic?

I think Van Der Graaf should have their own subsection - "Super Prog" :)

I was never very happy with VdGG in "Symphonic", to be honest, but is "Art Rock" the right place for them (or for King Crimson)? both bands had way too many phases to be put under a single moniker. in fact these two bands (and Gong) are the reason why I believe it would be much better to apply genrés to albums and not to bands

That seems like a great idea. I've been thinking about that for some time now.

How can we rsuggest it to the Admins?

That is not (yet) an option, I don't think that Max will implement that any time soon. In the meantime I'm pretty sure that Art Rock is the best genre for King Crimson AND VdGG. Gentle Giant too, now that I think about it.

TAGGING is brilliant idea,if you ask me...better anyway than moving everything, out of sheer confusion,of sheer diversity with the discography of a band. Clap
