| Checking out the Swiss band Island, discovered they had been labelled Zeuhl - even though Prog Lucky makes reference to them being influenced by Van Der Graaf (no disagreement there) and Canterbury. Surely a fair degree of ambiguity in the genre allocation???? |

if memory serves me well, Sean Trane suggested that we would move them
to Zeuhl at some point. I don't know the band myself, unfortunately,
but you might want to contact Sean, and ask for his opinion about the
subject.

Well the main source of influences to Island is definitely Magma, IMHO, but I will check again tonight ------------- let's just stay above the moral melee prefer the sink to the gutter keep our sand-castle virtues content to be a doer as well as a thinker, prefer lifting our pen rather than un-sheath our sword |
