I do believe the photo used to show one of East Of Eden's line-up is wrong. Seems to be two ladies there, plus the blokes look distinctly 80's wrt hairstyles, lack of beards, etc. From : http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Diner/2674/arbus_dave_a.htm - http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Diner/2674/arbus_dave_a .htm Dave Arbus (violin) Fantastic violin player (also a multiinstrumentalist - he plays flute, sax and trumpet). He was born on October 8, 1941. He formed superb band East of Eden in Brighton in 1967. They released Mercator projected. After that, Dave Dufort and Steve York left. This was the new lineup: Their 2nd album was Snafu. Then, Ron Caines also left. This was around 1970. Next album was East of Eden, with country influences. It was recorded by: Their 4th album was called New leaf. Recorded with: After that, Arbus left the band. At least, two compilations have been released by the band. In 1971, a compilation was released, Jig-a-jig, comprising tracks from their 1st and 2nd albums. Another one was World of East of Eden. Next band was Fiddler's Dram, in 1972: The band was active for some years, but I don't know when Dave Arbus left them (as I think Dave doesn't appear in their album, released in 1978). In November 1975, Dave reappears with Coxhill Sinclair Band. Dave Arbus was friends with Richard Sinclair back in 1969, when Arbus guested in some Caravan gigs: In January 1976, this was the lineup for Sinclair & The South: And now, we have a big gap! Help here, please! In 1997, East of Eden comes to life again with 3 original members: They release a new album, Kalipse, with help from bassist Jan Lehne. Even though its moderate success, they release a new one, called Armadillo.

I wanted to do something similar days ago, when i added "New Leaf" to the EAST OF EDEN discography.

Don't forget "Here We Go Again" (1976) I think this album should be added in their discography, but i don't know the tracks. |

Yes I noticed that east of Eden's discography was far from complete But as I am sure that both of you know, you can input the albums in by clicking on the ADD ALBUM ------------- let's just stay above the moral melee prefer the sink to the gutter keep our sand-castle virtues content to be a doer as well as a thinker, prefer lifting our pen rather than un-sheath our sword |

Yes, I also think that the bio is now innacurate because the most recent album is now Graffito, not Kalipse ... there is a fair amount of information here although the site hasn't been updated for a while http://www.eastofedentheband.com (please copy & paste if links don't work) ------------- "Death to Utopia!
