 im only 16 how can i compete with all you older people on progressive music. I like "Muse"" alot..and  "'woobler""

Drew is right. Anyway, what do you mean by compete? Look around and taste everything that seems interesting. That is what this site is for.

Muse are cool and Matt Bellamy rules You don't want to compete with the old farts that litter this site anyway!

it's not a competition... sure there are people here whose prog collections and knowledge are....staggering hahahhah .. but to compete.. nah... take the opportunity to listen to different stuff and learn... I know I have, and have become a more well rounded prog fan for it..

Get a lot of albums, and listen to a lot of prog sub-genres. 

Have an open mind and listen to genres and bands you would usually would never listen to. 

For instance, im not a metal head, but bought Devin Townsend's Synchestra  and love it.

Prog is not about how old you are in years.

Prog is about the music - if it moves you & you like it, listen often.

We are all learning & growing all the time. Hope you enjoy your trip through the site.
