Earlier today,I was vinyl-hunting i Copenhagen and came across this:

I don't seem to find it mentioned on the following great web-site: http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/PFArchives/DUKLP.htm - http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/PFArchives/DUKLP.ht m

But I assume that is is among the first pressings on the Coloumbia label that followed the black/blue one on which the first pressings of Piper and Saucerful were issued, thus I suppose that this is the second stereo pressing.

It has following characteristics:

matrix no:
side 1:YAX 3633 - 1
side 2:YAX 3634 - 1

Flip-back cover, where the text "File under POPULAR : Pop Groups." is to be found in the upper right og "6807 TPS Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. Patents pending SX6258 / SCX6258" in the lower right corner
Gilmour is spelled Gilmore

The text on the rim of the label says: "The Gramophone Co., Ltd. All rights of the manufacturer and of the owner of the recorded work reserved. Unauthorized public performance, broadcasting, and copying of this record prohibited"

I'm a bit confused, the matrix numbers are like those of the second press of the mono-edition, but this is stereo. I can's seem to find exactly this edition described anywhere, can someone please shed som light over it?

The silver lettering gives it away - it's a second press (1970, I believe).

The SCX refers to the stereo format (SX represented the MONO) - and the matrix number for MONO is XAX not YAX.

If it was a 1st press, it would look like this;

HTH
