Out of your list,TLOTR.

You should have included the Star Wars prequel trilogy, though.

I'm not bothered to be honest; I've never been drawn to watching a film because of the special effects...in 80% of the cases, Hollywood tends to try and use them to cover up a script that is devoid of ideas, and dialogue which varies from mundane to banal....

...I'll stick with Polanski, Kubrick, Hitchcock & Woody Allen (among many others), ta very much...

Yes I agree! It is better a cultural and interessant film whit normal effects than a stupid and full of effects one!(but if we can have a film whit an important messages and amazing ffects...whi not?)

P.s.:sorry for forgetting Star wars!!!!!

I'd have to go for Lord of the Rings.  In that movie, the producer made the CGI look as close to reality as they possibly could have.  I didn't think King Kong had the authenticity that Lord of the Rings did as far as effects.

About Star Wars, i love the films, but I'm sorry the CGI is a little overdone.  I would have liked them to have built some sets.  I don't care too much for movies filmed in front of a green screen.  I still enjoy  the Star Wars Movies though.

out of that list... LOTR was great, but i prefer the effects in the Matrix. they were more groundbreaking at the time i guess.  plus, in the 2nd one when the 2 trucks collide head on... damn.  that owns.

P.S. star wars = sh*te. (IMHO)
