How do i reset the configuration for the modem?

I have been trying to hook my video game up online and it wont register. The Sony company says the Westell 6100 comes equipped with a firewall installed. When i call Verizon they insist that there is nothing blocking the connection. I just wanna know how to reset the settings so hopefully i can resolve this issue

Plug your modem directly to your computer. Open up Internet Explorer and type in http://192.168.1.1 - http://192.168.1.1 . I believe the username is admin and the password is password. From there go to the security tab and check to see if the firewall is on. If it is turn it off. If you just want to reset the modem to its default settings, turn off your computer, then press and hold down the reset button on the modem for about 30 seconds. Power off the modem, wait a minute or two, turn the modem back on. Once the modem is completely up, turn your computer back on.
