I just found out that Porcupine Tree are playing here in London next month, and I'm undecided as to whether I should go see them or not. A lot of people praise this band, but from what I've heard when I downloaded some of their songs I wasn't very impressed. So recommend me some of their best songs, and if they blow me away I'll go see them. If not, eh.

Well, if you are thinking of going and seeing them, you are as well getting In Absentia and Deadwing, the contents of which will cover pretty much 95% of the setlist. I love the former but was a little disappointed in the latter, though probably in a few months I will go back to it and like it better.

Outside of InAbsentai I prefer Lightbulb Sun, probably my fave by them overall.

u should go. try "not beautiful anymore" and radioactive toy" from the live record "In absentia". anyway Robert Fripp is going to open in the LOndon gigs, that is a very good plus.

^You probably mean Coma Divine. In Absentia is their second to last studio effort

What songs have you heard, and what kind of music are you looking for? They have a really wide variety of different styles, so if you'd specify what you like, I'll be able to recommend some good songs for you.

I can strangle a canary in a tin can and it would be really original, but that wouldn't save it from sounding like utter sh*t.

Deadwing was the first album I bought, and it defintely got me hooked, and I've got all the other albums that I could find after that, so maybe start with that one.

The albums worth the 12 bucks just for "Arriving Somewhere But Not Here".

Warszawa is probably their best live album. It consists basically of music from Lightbulb Sun.
