I'm sick of polls like Yes vs Genesis or Pink Floyd vs Led Zeppelin,
because in most cases people tend to compare apples and oranges - and
there was an apple vs oranges-poll, so don't comment on that, please.
What's your opinion?

Should exist...a comparison between bands it's good...yet you DO have a point in saying that too much is too much...

For me they´re not primarily informative, but just for fun. Just like the Rate My Albums fashion, a few months ago. Maybe the vs. polls should be posted in the Just for fun section. I like them, personally. They´re just chats, like people do, sitting in the cafe, drinking a beer or two. Provided that everyone should take care of his or her own beer Not to be taken too seriously. PA is a broad forum. There are serious discussions and chit chats. The versus polls are in section nr. 2. If you don´t like them, just ignore them. |

But it's possible to take a more constructive approach - if Dream Theater was a cheese, which cheese would they be? We moved the polls to a separate area of the forum in the last update. Imagine what it would be like if all these were still appearing on first page!
