Biography:

Jacob Roberge is a Québec-based progressive rock musician, singer, songwriter, composer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist with a background in classical music and orchestration. His work is rooted in the Symphonic Prog tradition, characterized by grand compositions, orchestrations, and instrumental passages.

Roberge initially gained recognition through his YouTube channel, where he showcased his vocal and instrumental talents with covers of artists such as Queen and Genesis. His classical influences are evident in his arrangements and cinematic production, blending rock instrumentation with orchestral elements.

On January 31, 2025, Roberge released his debut album, The Passing, a six-track symphonic rock odyssey spanning approximately one hour, including the title track epic at 32 minutes. The album features a full sonic palette, incorporating strings (violin, cello), brass (trumpet), and layered harmonies. 

His music blends orchestral movements with progressive rock complexity, evoking influences from Genesis, Yes, The Enid, Transatlantic, and Anglagård, yet with a modern, cinematic approach.
