While listening to ELO before I fell asleep last night I thought of this for a poll idea. Optional sub poll (choose one or two of the following in addition to the above official poll): A. ELP were too pretentious B. ELO were too poppy C. i used to like ELP but not so much now D. I used to like ELO but not so much now |

I have three times as many ELO albums as ELP (9 against 3) so it's an easy win for ELO for me.

Interesting, i have not thought that ELP was good beyond its first few albums. I would say that ELO's 1974 work is much better than ELP with the late 70s works, but then I also prefer ts earlier albums to those of ELP. not that i would expect you to like it, but this was maybe my first favourite ELO songs when I was a child (my eldest brother was into ELO) "Mission (A World Record)" off a New World Record. Weirdly, perhaps, ELP's In the Hot Seat was not nearly as bad for me as I was expecting.
