A new member messaged to me and asked if I could help him to post his favorite photo of Jon Anderson, as he was having a problem with the "file manager" feature.  I agreed, and therefore, to PA member Ken Scarbrough, I'd like to start this thread dedicated to those of us who have met Jon and, if so lucky, have a photo of him to share!!

He wrote to me:

Charles,
My late friend, Eldon Wood, was an alumnus of the University of Texas in Austin, who, like me, hailed from New Orleans. He was very gregarious, and found ways through the years to meet most of the members of Yes. He was even a friend of Rick Wakeman, spending time with him in England.

While on tour with Jean-Luc Ponty in 2016, Jon Anderson performed at the Austin club in which this photo was taken.
Eldon passed away in January of 2019 of brain cancer . . . . Of course, he lives in the memories of his family and friends and in what people of faith call the Church Triumphant.
Thanks again,
Ken Scarbrough
=====
Ken, this is for you and in memory of your late friend Eldon!!  Peace, brother.

I met Jon once but I don't have a photo of us together. I do have a photo with myself and Annie Haslam though (this was maybe around 2007 so just before I owned a digital camera or iphone with camera). I also have a photo of myself with the Argentinian prog band Nexus (when they still had a woman singer in the band). I think that's it though as far as photos with me and prog musicians go (and none by themselves either unless it's a band playing on stage).

I'm always amazed at how gregarious & friendly Jon is after his shows!

This photo was taken after the Yes 35th Anniversary Tour show in Chicago, when my wife Ginny and I met the entire band!  Heart

Jon was just lovely, I told him that his music inspired me to study environmental science, and he gave me a sweet smile!!

Get your finger out of your ear, Jon!  You're on camera!   Photo taken 4th April, 2004!   The lovely redhead is my dear wife Ginny, thanks for coming with, babe!

^Nice picture. That was the same year I met him also (after a show in the Philly area) but in my case I think it was in February. I remember it was right after the late great Philly area dj and champion of Yes music, Ed Sciaky (who I briefly met also once), passed away. I remember Jon giving a shout out to him during his set and the crowd applauded. And yes Jon was very friendly. He even re-enacted a dream I had where we were both playing keyboards on stage. We did the air keyboard thing complete with him saying "yeah move over" just like in my dream. This didn't really surprise me considering how much Jon is into dreams.

Wonderful recollection, thanks for contributing!!

Please enjoy this little video I took at Jon's "Voice of Yes" show in St. Charles, Illinois.  I love this song from "Olias!"  Jon did a solo version of "Revealing Science of God" on keyboard that was sublime!

This is, without a doubt, my favorite single photo of Jon Anderson!  This was taken by my friend Curt, during the "Solo Albums Tour" show in Chicago.  His smile is radiant!
